Marie is the founder of Inform Solutions, the first plastic surgery CRM system, and Real Patient Ratings, the first ratings and reviews platform with a practice management component of its kind in medicine. She co-authored Cosmetic Surgery for Dummies with her late husband, Merrel Olesen, MD. She is CEO of La Jolla Cosmetic Surgery, the oldest solely cosmetic surgery practice in the United States.
Dana is recognized as one of the leading experts in medical marketing and practice management. Having worked with approximately 1500 practices nationally, she has a unique understanding of the fee-for-service medical market and, over the last 30 years, has worked with medical schools, hospitals, industry suppliers, and multi-specialty private and group practices.
She is an internationally known speaker, seminar leader, and the author of A Brand Apart and Co-author of Making the Cut, both of which were published by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Her expertise in all facets of practice building has led to professional alliances, training seminars,
and consulting relationships with such groups as The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, where she was endorsed for ten years as a preferred consultant; the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery; Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Italian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
